Dr. Bianca Brooks is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist that joined the Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals group in May 2018. She completed her medical training at Georgia State University, internship at Memphis VA Medical Center/University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Post-Doctoral fellowship at Marcus Autism Center.
Dr. Brooks is licensed to practice in Georgia and is trained in administering the gold-standard Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2).
Dr. Brooks conducts psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents and young adults. She specializes in diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorders in children as young as 18 months. Dr. Brooks completed Post-Doctoral fellowship at the Marcus Autism Center and is trained in using the gold-standard autism diagnostic tool (Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale, Second Edition).
Dr. Brooks offers behavioral and solution-focused therapy for young children with common behavioral challenges (e.g., noncompliance, tantrums) and anxiety. In addition, she provides evidence based individual therapy for those experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder. Dr. Brooks utilizes evidence-based principles and takes a collaborative and practical approach towards therapy. Her goal is to figure out how to best meet the clients' needs and how to accomplish their treatment in the most efficient manner possible.
Dr. Brooks enjoys hiking, traveling and trying new experiences.
