Dr. Nirupama Natarajan is a licensed psychiatrist at Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals. Dr. Natarajan obtained her Medical Degree from The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR University Medical University at Chennai, India. She then completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency at Louisiana State University, Shreveport, LA and her Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Carillion Clinic Virginia Tech Carillion School of Medicine in Roanoke, VA.
Dr. Natarajan is double board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry as well as in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She is also a Certified Psychopharmacologist by the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology. Dr. Natarajan has licensure with Georgia and Virginia Medical Boards. Current affiliations include PRN Consult Psychiatrist with Children and Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Natarajan is a PRN Consult Psychiatrist at Children's Health Care of Atlanta-Scottish Rite and Adjunct Professor at Emory University School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Natarajan has been on Skyland Trail Residential Treatment Center's Professional Advisory Board, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry's Pediatric Psych of Larnacology Initiating Committee and Journal Reviewer of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition, Dr. Natarajan received a young leader award for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellows.

Dr. Natarajan provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medical treatment for children/adolescents and adults who needs treatment for dealing with depression and anger, dealing with violence, behavioral problems at school, eating problems, difficulties adjusting to medical illness, family relationship problems, attention and hyperactivity troubles, autism development disorders. Adults dealing with mood disorders, schizophrenia, ADHD and school/college mental health disorders. Dr. Natarajan sees herself as an advocate of cross-cultural Psychiatry.
In her spare time, Dr. Natarajan enjoys exercising, yoga, hiking, spending time with children, and reading just to name a few.
